Meet Emily

Reformer Pilates for All

Emily has had a huge love for sport from a young age, whether it be hockey, running or chasing sheep on the farm she grew up on in Tasmania, she has always loved movement! This continued on after her school life at the University of Sydney, where she continued to play both sports while she studied her Bachelor degree in Exercise and Sports Science. This fascination for health and wellbeing naturally followed her into other areas over time.

Emily then discovered Pilates after her father underwent back surgery in 2011 and used Pilates as part of a rehabilitation program. Following this she went on to study a Diploma of Pilates through Polestar Pilates. Through this she has discovered a whole new way to get people moving. The diversity that Pilates offers has enabled Emily to work with with people of all ages and abilities and she has found it an extremely rewarding job!

Emily was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2009 and mostly enjoyed a life unaffected by her condition until recent times after the birth of her twin boys. Movement is a little more challenging for Emily now and she has a whole new appreciation again for Pilates and how important the functionality of it can be for people with long term illness or injury - she firmly Pilates is for every body!

Outside of work Emily enjoys spending time with family & friends and being in the great outdoors.  In her spare time you will find her walking her dog Reggie with her toddler twin boys in tow, or putting her feet up up enjoying a gripping tv series!
